PORT CHARLOTTE - Daryl Dewayne Burney, age 45, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away Friday, July 13, 2007 at his residence.

Mr. Burney was born May 14, 1962 in Haines City,  Florida and attended the schools in Haines City . He moved to Port Charlotte six years ago from Haines City and worked as a superintendent with a underground utility company and was of the Baptist faith. He had enjoyed fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.

He is survived by his wife Ashley Burney and son Jeremy both of Port Charlotte, Florida; father and mother, James and June Burney, both of Dundee, Florida; brothers, Robert Burney of Kissimmee, Florida, and Lex Burney of Davenport, Florida; sisters, Elaine Bozeman and JoAnne Clanton both of Dundee, Florida, granddaughter, Desiree Burney of Port Charlotte, Fl.

Friends may call Sunday from 11:00 AM. until services at 1:00 PM. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, Florida. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City.
