AUBURNDALE - Shelby Jean Wade, 69, of Auburndale, died Sunday, July 8, 2007 at the Good Shepherd Hospice Resident Center in Auburndale due to a genetic liver disorder.
Born January 26, 1938 in Oxford, GA, she has been a lifelong resident of the area. She was the owner of Shelby’s Beauty Shop in Auburndale, was of the Pentecostal Faith. Shelby was a loving volunteer, who spent her free time cooking for and helping the elderly and infirmed.
She is preceded in death by: her first husband, James H Wade, Sr who died in 1995; and 3 brothers, Carmen, Lester and Lewis Shumate.
She is survived by: her husband, Thomas Wickey; a son, Jimmy Wade and his wife Toni of Winter Haven; a daughter, Toni Schaller and her husband Humberto of Winter Haven; and 4 brothers, Billy Shumate, Bobby Shumate, Victor Shumate and Otis Shumate all of Auburndale; and five grandchildren, Brittany and Kyle Scholler, Nathan Schaller, Logan Wade and Joseph Schaller.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 till 8:00pm, Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Auburndale Memorial Park.
