WINTER HAVEN - Albert L. Whittemore of Winter Haven, FL, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Altera Clair Bridge Cottage from dementia. He was 88.

A native of Springfield, MA, Albert moved here in 1989 from Norwood, MA. He was a Commercial Art Director for Waldoroth Printing Corp. in Avon, MA. Albert was also a US Army veteran serving in World War II; a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, was a member of the Hidden Golf Club, and he was also the author of seven 7 touching tales.

Albert is survived by his wife: Margaret Whittemore of Winter Haven; two sons: Scott M. Whittemore of Nashua, NH, and Mark C. Whittemore of Westwood, MA; two daughters: Karen Bell of Jamestown, RI, and Laura Rogan of Auburn, MA, and six grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday, July 7, at 12 noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to: Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823. Condolences to family:
