HAINES CITY - Howard E. Payne, age 69, of Haines City, FL, died 07/03/07, in Davenport, FL.
He was born May 17, 1938 in Ozark, AL, and moved from there to Haines City in the 1950’s. He was retired from the Lake Alfred Experiment Station; he was of the Baptist faith. Howard was a veteran of the US Army serving during Vietnam, he was a member of the Haines City Kiwanis Club, he was an avid coach and umpire in Little League Baseball in Haines City, he was a member of Woodmen of the World, and the Moose lodge in Haines City.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Wanda Payne of Haines City; daughters, Kathie Kosky of Crestview, FL and Karen Fajardo of Fairhope, AL; brother, James Payne of Haines City; sister, Margaret Collins of Haines City; and 5 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 07/07/07 at 11 a.m. at Eastside Baptist Church, Haines City.
