Winter Haven – Mildred Frances Courson, 88, of Winter Haven, FL died Friday December 21, 2007 at the Life Care Center in Winter Haven due to respiratory failure and complications from Alzheimers Disease.
Born December 21, 1919 to Jess J and Dora Alderman Dees, Mildred moved to Winter Haven in 1977, having lived in Bartow since 1938. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Bartow Church of God.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Leo Courson; and two brothers, Harold Dees and Earl Dees.
Mrs. Courson is survived by: her son, Roger Courson and his wife, Betty Ann of Thomasville, GA; her daughter, Seretha Franklin of Winter Haven, FL; two grandsons, Aaron Franklin and his wife, Rebekah of Chattanooga, TN and Jason Franklin and his wife, Kendal of Gallatin, TN; and three grandchildren, Maddux, Landon and Isabella Franklin.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm till 2:00pm, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., NW, Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Michael Thomas, Rev. Randall Horton and Rev. Elwood Kern officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens, Auburndale.
