HAINES CITY -- Mr. James Edgar Watson passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2007 in Auburndale, Florida. He was 87.
Born to Lewis Edgar Watson and Louanna Hawkins Watson on June 26, 1920, in Coffee Springs, Alabama, he came here in 1952. He was a farmer and attended the Church of God.
Mr. Watson is survived by his wife of 70 years, Katie Lee Carnley Watson; sons, Bobby G. Watson and Joseph T. Watson of Davenport, Fred Ronald Watson of Live Oak, Florida, Willie F. Watson of Dundee and Jeffery S. Watson also of Davenport; daughters, Patricia Ann Wooten of Pangburn, Arkansas, Barbara A. Jaeger of Haines City, Ima D. Johnson of Merritt Island, Susan Watson of Melbourne and Penny Grantham of Davenport; brother, Emmit O'Neil Watson of Elba, Alabama; twenty seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2007. Pastor Fred Watson will officiate.
Interment will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City.
