  Benjamin Franklin "Chubby" Fussell, Jr.   
Benjamin Fussell, Jr.

LAKE ALFRED, FL  - Benjamin Franklin "Chubby" Fussell, Jr. of Lake Alfred, FL, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.   He was 76. 

A native of Atlanta, GA, Benjamin moved here 15 years ago from Georgia.  He was a salesman for RollX Handicap Vans in Savage, MN, was a U.S. Army veteran during World War II, a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the Winter Haven Moose Lodge #1023, and the American Legion Post 8 in Winter Haven.  Benjamin has a passion for helping veterans with spinal cord injuries, and he was recently honored at Macdill Air Force base for his unselfish involvement in that area. 

His wife, Violet Fussell preceded him.  Benjamin is survived by his companion:  Ann Allen of Lake Alfred, FL, two daughters:  M. Lee Fussell and Barbara (Alan) Peterson, both of Decatur, GA, a sister:  Barbara Lipski of Decatur, GA., several nieces and nephews, and one great nephew. 

Visitation will be Thursday, from 6 to 8 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven.  Funeral Mass will be Friday, at 10 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
