AUBURNDALE - Ms. Bertine Wells Silcox, 92, formerly of Jacksonville, Fl daughter of Joseph Mckendree and Della Owens, left this world to begin a  new journey to the next on August 28, 2007 at Good Shepherd Hospice of Auburndale, Fl due to pneumonia.   

She was a loving mother to 5 children, Dellarine Ledbetter (deceased), Martha Rauch (deceased), James Wells, Jr. of Auburndale, Fl; Theora Satterwhite of Chula, GA and Charlotte Aiello of Jacksonville, FL.  She was also a wonderful grandmother to 17 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 36 children, all of whom will hold her dearly in their hearts.  She was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till 7:00pm, Thursday, August 30, 2007 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd, Winter Haven.  Graveside Services will be held on Friday morning at 10:00am at Auburndale Memorial Park.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
