WINTER HAVEN - George Leonard Weston, Sr. of Winter Haven, FL passed away Saturday, August 25, 2007 at his residence.  He was 87 years old. 

A native of Bronwood, Georgia, born December 19, 1919, George moved here in the 1930’s from Bronwood.  He was a retired Float Operator from IMC Phosphate, was a World War II Army veteran, and he was a member of First Baptist Church of Inwood. 

A granddaughter: Debbie Sasnett, and a great-granddaughter: Leigh Ann Harrison preceded him in death.  George is survived by his loving wife of 67 years: Lucille B. Weston of Winter Haven, FL; his son:  George Leonard Weston, Jr. of Long Beach, CA; two daughters:  Barbara A. (Jerry) Meeks of Auburndale, FL, and Jacqueline (Billy) Powell of Winter Haven, FL; one sister:  Laura Robertson of Watson, AK,  six grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday evening at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven, FL.  Funeral Services will be 11 AM Wednesday  from the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Winter Haven.
