HAINES CITY, FL - Julia "Julie" Lowe, 81, of Haines City, Florida, died Thursday, August 16, 2007 at her residence.
Born July 2, 1926 in Colonie, New York she has been a resident of Haines City since 1991, having previously lived in Lakewood, New Mexico, Springfield, Virginia and New York. She was a wife, mother and a retired receiving manager for a Building Materials Supplier. Julie was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Haines City, Florida.
Mom and Dad bowled together, and they enjoyed RV'ing together for over 30 years. They traveled to almost every state, including Alaska. She was a square dancer, clogger, and an avid reader who enjoyed all kinds of books. She loved her crime shows on TV. She was a good friend and enjoyed shopping, dining out and her breakfast club. She loved her cat, Ginger, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mostly she loved her children and her husband and partner of 58 years.
Julie is survived by: her husband Frank J. Lowe; two sons, Michael Lowe of Sandy, Oregon and David Lowe of Ridge, Maryland; two daughters, Sandra (Sandy) Buxton of Burke, Virginia and Susan Faul of Lexington Park, Maryland; ten grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, Florida. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am, Friday, August 24, 2007 at St. Michaels Church in Ridge, Maryland. Interment will follow at St. Michaels Cemetery in Ridge, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made in her name to Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale, Florida of the American Heart Association.
