DAVENPORT, Florida - Clarence J. Alligood, age 78, died on Saturday, August 11, 2007, at his residence in Davenport, Florida.

Born to Noah C. Alligood and Flossie Willie Palmer Alligood on July 14, 1929, in Moultrie, Georgia, he moved here in 1942. He was a Foreman for Bruce Ingram Grove Services in Davenport, Florida. He was a member of the Lakewood Park Baptist Church in Davenport.

Mr. Alligood is survived by his wife of 56 years Nellie C. Alligood; son, Michael Alligood of West Virginia; daughters, Patricia Mathis of Riverview, Florida and Carol Poole of Rockledge, Florida; borthers, Joel Alligood, Gene Alligood, and Bud Alligood; sister, Sarah Wren; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 14, 2007, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, Florida. Pastor Dino A. Hatem, Sr. of Lakewood Park Baptist Church in Davenport, Florida will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Hill cemetery in Haines City, Florida.
