LAKE HAMILTON - David Metzgar of Lake Hamilton, FL, passed away Friday, August 10, 2007 at the Winter Haven Hospital.  He was 68 years old. 

A native of Fairfield, TX, David moved here in 1972 from Arkansas.  He was a welder for Grower’s Fertilizer in Lake Alfred; a member of Cypress Cathedral Assembly of God; and loved to camp and fish. 

David is survived by his wife: Gail Metzgar of Lake Hamilton; his sons:  Bill Metzgar of Atlanta, GA; Mike Metzgar of Orlando, FL; Scott Metzgar of Fernando Beach, FL; his daughters:  April Tyler of Myrtle Beach, SC; Shana Hartman of Lake Hamilton, FL; his brothers:  B.J. Metzgar of Dallas, TX: Doug Metzgar of Nashville, TN; and Paul Metzgar of Houston, TX.  David also has 12 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. 

Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City.  Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Cypress Cathedral in Winter Haven.  Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
