KISSIMMEE, FLORIDA - Marie Ann Blakeney of Kissimmee, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at her residence. She was 80.

Mrs. Blakeney was born on March 4, 1927, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, to William Gagnon and Margaret Lightowler Gagnon and moved to this area in 2001 from East Orange County. She was a Cashier and Secretary in the Navy Department. She was a member of the Officers Wives Clubs and attended St. Ann Catholic Church in Haines City, Florida.

Mrs Blakeney is survived by her husband of 60 years, Arlie A. Blakeney of Kissimmee, Florida; sons, John M. Blakeney of Kansas City, Missouri, Kevin Blakeney of Poinciana, Florida; daughters, Linda Ann Shumard of New Mexico, Patricia A. Whipple of Kissimmee, Florida, Ann Marie Ring of Riverview, Florida; sister, Marilyn Lamoureaux and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2007 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Haines City, with Father Robert Mitchell officiating. A committal service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida, with Father Francis Ferrara, St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Bushnell, Florida officiating.
