DAVENPORT, FLORIDA - Thomas E. Burke Sr. of Davenport, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2007 at his residence in Davenport. He was 80.

Born on November 3, 1926, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Benjamin C. Burke, Sr. and Jessie Floyd Burke, he moved to this area in 2005 from Miami, Florida. He was a salesman for Sears.

Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by sons, Thomas E. Burke, Jr. of Georgia, Robert D. Burke, of Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, Michael L. Burke, of Sorrento, Florida, Alexander 'BJ' Burke of Davenport, Florida; daughter, Lisa S. Burke, of Port St. Lucie, Florida and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, Florida. Services will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home, with Reverend Father Hugh McGlashon officiating. Final resting place will be in Southern Memorial Park, Miami, Florida.
