WINTER HAVEN - Evangeline G. Jowers, age 82, of Winter Haven passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2007 from heart failure.
 

She was born on July 2, 1924 in Rutherford County, N.C. and moved here in 1966 from Hinesville, Ga. She was a teacher in the Polk County system and a member of Lucerne Park Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Marcus Jowers.

Survived by son, Keith and wife Ann Jowers of Winter Haven, 2 daughters; Selma and husband Clarence Gandy of Haines City, Brenda & husband Michael Johnson of Rowland, N.C., 3 sisters; Kathy Ruth Dixon, Boling Springs, NC., Martha Hipps of Charlotte, NC., Melba Banton of Duncan S.C., grandchildren; Brent Jowers, Bill Young,

Amanda Jowers, Michele Johnson, Aaron Young, Brian Johnson, Douglas Jowers, Charisse Boos, great grandchildren,
Sarah and Abigail Young, Kane Macias, Remington, Hannah and Tyler Young, Skilar Gibbs.
