WINTER HAVEN, FL – Mrs. Jean A. Hoffenbacher of Winter Haven, passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 at her home from lung cancer. She was 85 years old.

A native of Slippery Rock, PA, born December 13, 1921, Jean moved here in 1972 from Tampa, FL. She was a homemaker, member of the First Presbyterian Church of Winter Haven, where she was a Circle Leader, a Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Presbyterian Women. Jean was also a member of the Friends of the Library.

Her husband Dean K. Hoffenbacher preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters: Kristin (Bill) Wells of Lakeland, FL, and Debbie (Wade) Adolphs of Cotodecazo, CA; her sister: Vonnie Chambers of Trinity, FL; one granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, April 24, at 4:00 P.M. from the First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to: Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, FL 33823, or to the American Cancer Society, 809 S. Florida Avenue, Lakeland, FL 33801.
