LAKE WALES - William Edward Yates, 68, of Lake Wales died Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Winter Haven Hospital due to Congestive Heart Failure.

Born June 3, 1938 to Clois and Bessie Yates in Samson, Alabama, he moved to the area 49 years ago. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator , was of the Pentecostal Faith and Edward also had served 6 years in the U.S. Army Reserve.

He is survived by: his wife of 47 years, Becky Yates; a son Johnny Yates and his wife Julie of Lake Wales, FL; a daughter Kathy Bush and her husband Timmy of Lake Wales, FL; 2 brothers, Bueford Yates of Ft. Pierce, FL and Ernest Yates of Lake Wales, Fl; 3 sisters, Jearldean Archie of Wahneta, FL, Aldean Maynard and Doris Ritter both of Winter Haven, FL ; and 2 grandsons, Tanner and Shelby William Bush.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm till 8:00pm, Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven.
