WINTER HAVEN - Helen Legge Myers 84, of Winter Haven passed away Sunday, April 1, 2007 after suffering from dementia.

Mrs. Myers was born in North Lawrence, Ohio on October 3, 1922 to the late Matthew and Maude Legge. She was a dedicated housewife and homemaker who enjoyed bible study and fishing. She was very active in the Garden Club, The Christian Women’s Club and the AVMA Women’s Auxiliary as well as other community organizations.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Paul Jacob Myers, son Paul Charles Myers, three sisters and four brothers.

She is survived by: her daughters Penny M. Allen and husband Ron Allen of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Corinne M. DeRuiter of Bozeman, MT and Margo C. Myers of Winston-Salem, NC; a daughter-in-law Linda W. Myers of Winter Haven, FL; sisters, Bid L. Crosby of Delaware, OH and Charlotte L. Snee of Birmingham, MI; seven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2007 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care 2425 West Havendale Blvd.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, 9365 US Hwy 19N, Ste B, Pinellas Park, FL 33782.
