DAVENPORT, FLORIDA - John R. "Jack" Geary of Davenport, Florida died Tuesday March 27, 2007 at Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Davenport, Florida. He was 84.

Born on May 19, 1922, in Detroit, Michigan, to Virgil L. Geary and Margueritte Russell Geary, he moved to Florida in 1981. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He was the Comptroller and Treasurer of The Grand Trunk Rail Road in Michigan.

Preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Geary is survived by his wife, Frances Danyliak Geary of Davenport, Florida; daughters, Donna Winkelmann and husband Karl, of California, Cyndi Jourden and husband John of Michigan; son John Geary, Jr., and wife Janine of Illinois; grandchildren, Karynn Zmijewski, Keven Winkelmann, Sarah Jourden, Matthew Jourden, Meghan Jourden, Alexis Geary, Kailee Geary; great grandchildren, Parker, Elle, Carter and Mason.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 31, 2007 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, with Reverend Pam Rhodes, Davenport United Methodist Church, Davenport, Florida officiating. Final resting place will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
