HAINES CITY - Mr. Charles Manis, age 68, of Haines City died of liver cancer Friday October 6, 2006) at Good Shepherd Hospice Resident Center, Auburndale. A native of Bulls Gap, Tenn., Mr. Manis moved to Haines City from Maryland in 1972. He was an avid race fan and fisherman. He was Baptist. Mr. Manis is survived by his wife, Sally A. Manis; daughters, Tammy CitaraManis, Clarksville, Md., Theresa Brown, Winter Haven, Kimberly Thomas, Haines City, Dawn McElroy, Finksburg, Md.; sons, Wade Manis, Auburndale, Leonard Groomes, Haines City; brothers, Paul Manis, Louise, Va., Wayne Manis, Auburndale, Raymond Manis, Martinsburg, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:00 PM this evening at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven. Services will be 10 AM Monday at the funeral home.
