| | Bobbie Gene Casteel 
ROME, Ga. -- Mr. Bobbie Gene Casteel of Rome, Ga., a former resident of Polk County, died of respiratory failure Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2006). He was 74.
Born May 14, 1932, in Clay, Ky., Mr. Casteel moved to Rome, Ga., from Lakeland seven years ago. He worked as a painter in the construction industry. He was Baptist.
Mr. Casteel is survived by his daughter, Judy A. Smith, Haines City, Linda Lane and Katie Sue Jones, both of Lake Wales; sons, Kenneth Krantz, Curby Krantz and Robbie Casteel, all of Haines City, Bobbie Casteel Jr., Winter Haven, Billy Casteel, Missouri, Johnny Casteel, Lake Wales; 13 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City.
