Winter Haven - Duane West, age 68, of Winter Haven, FL, died Tuesday, November 28, 2006, in Orlando, FL. due to heart failure.

Born October 10, 1938 in Spartanburg, SC, and moved to the area in 1986 from Nashville, TN. He owned Southeastern Engineering Sales Co., Inc. in Haines City, he was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Haines City, a member of M.A.N.N.A., the Community Bible Study, and a member of the Rotary Club, Haines City Chapter where he was a Paul Harris Fellow and Past President, and he was also an Eagle Scout.

He is survived by his wife, Bettye West of Winter Haven; sons, Kevin West of Haines City, Reverend Walter West of St. Augustine, Fl; daughter, Litia Harrison of Bay Minnette, AL; son, Tom West of Annandale, VA; sisters, Beverly Mitchem of Palatka, FL, Linda Moore of St. Augustine, FL; brother, Steve West of Stockbridge, GA and 5 grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday 12/1/06 from 5-7 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Funeral services will be Saturday 12/2/06 at 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Haines City.

The family has asked that memorials be sent in lieu of flowers to the Rotary Foundation 14280 Collections Center Drive, Chicago, IL 60693.
