Glenn E. Miner

 

Davenport - Glenn E. Miner, 73, died from long illness on Nov. 17, 2006.

Born Jan. 26, 1933 in Rochester, NY, and moved to Davenport 25 years ago from Syracuse, NY. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict, And a railroad conductor for NY Central Railroad for 31 years. He was of the Methodist faith, a member of Nortrip Lodge No. 998 F & AM, Tigris Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. of Syracuse, American Legion., and United Transportation Union.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn L. Miner; daughters, Elizabeth (Dr. Richard) Ambinder of Baltimore, MD, June(William T. Jr.) English of Davenport, FL; sister Marion Klein; grandsons, Adam & Nolan English, Alexander & Michael Ambinder and nieces and nephews.

His parents, Gordan & Bertha Miner, and brother, William Miner, predecease him.

Visitation will be Monday 11/20/06 from 5-7 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines, City.

Funeral services will be later in N.Y.

The family has asked that memorials be sent in lieu of flowers to Sunshine Foundation 5400 County Road 547 North Davenport, FL. 33837.
