WINTER HAVEN - James Francis Hunter, age 86, of Winter Haven, Fla., died Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at Life Care Center in Winter Haven, Fla.

Born November 25, 1919 in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, Mr. was a resident of Winter Haven, FL since moving here 7 years ago from Indian Lake Estates, FL, having moved to Florida in 1982 from Mississippi.  Mr. Hunter was retired from Northern Electric where he was a production planner and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He Served in the Army during World War II. He was Past-President of the Indian Lake Estates Home Owners Assn.; a member of the Mens Golf Association; had served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister at Holy Spirit Catholic Church and Indian Lake Estates; was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus; member of American Legion Post #8 in Winter Haven, FL.  had served as a volunteer fireman at Indian Lake Estates.

He is survived by his wife Stella A Hunter of Winter Haven, FL
Two Sisters, Emma L Ekern of Indianapolis, Ind. and Elaine Maddaus of Indianapolis, Ind.
 

A Mass will be held at 9:15am, Thursday, November 2, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Peter Puntal officiating.  Inurnment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 12:30pm.
