WINTER HAVEN -- Mr. Linwood Roach of Winter Haven died of respiratory failure Saturday (May 20, 2006). He was 77.
Born Oct. 6, 1928, in Schoolsville, W. Va., Mr. Roach moved to Winter Haven from Burlington, N.C., in 1982. He worked in quality control for Burlington Industries and Kayser-Roth. He attended First Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Roach is survived by his wife of 59 years, Beatrice Roach; son, Rick Roach, Winter Haven; daughters, Gloria Spangers, Winter Haven, Linda Kinney, Burlington, N.C.; brother, Willie Roach, Belfast, N.C.; sisters, Peggy Ann Overman, Vivian Angel and Betty Lou Hawkins, all of Burlington; seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 p.m. this afternoon at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at First Missionary Baptist Church in Auburndale or to Feed the Children.
