HAINES CITY -- Mrs. Ruth Ashley of Haines City died of complications of Parkinson's disease Tuesday (May 9, 2006) in Winter Haven. She was 80.
Born in Haines City on Sept. 24, 1925, she was a lifelong resident. She was an administrative assistant in a doctor's office in Haines City for more than 15 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Haines City.
Mrs. Ashley was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Kenneth Ashley. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela S. Ashley, Lakeland; son, Gary Kenneth Ashley, St. Louis; sister, Pat Orlando, Rochester, N.Y.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
