WINTER HAVEN -- Mrs. Donna E. Benton of Winter Haven died of lung cancer Tuesday (May 9, 2006) in Winter Haven. She was 59.
Born in Cleveland on Dec. 25, 1946, she came to Winter Haven from Conneaut, Ohio, in 1998. She was a bartender and hostess at Diamondback Golf Course. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary of Ohio, and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Winter Haven. She was a Catholic.
Mrs. Benton is survived by her daughter, Michelle Frank Palumbo, Newport, Mich.; son, Robert C. Guard, Stockbridge, Mich.; brother, William Passwaiter, Cleveland; two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Winter Haven.
