| | Norman Settle HOUGHTON LAKE, Mich. -- Mr. Norman Settle of Houghton Lake, Mich., died of cancer Thursday (April 27, 2006) in Haines City. He was 79.
Born Oct. 3, 1926, in Detroit, Mr. Settle was a winter resident of Haines City for 12 years, visiting from Houghton Lake. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for the Taylor, Mich., school system. He was a member of Golden Ark Lodge No. 595 F&AM, Taylor. He served in the Army.
Mr. Settle is survived by his wife, Ellen Settle; sisters, Helen Allard, Harper Woods, Mich., Marylan Hoagland, Sacramento, Ky.
Services will be at at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City.
