WINTER HAVEN -- Mrs. Delores J. Roberts of Winter Haven died of cancer Saturday (March 4, 2006). She was 71.
Born Jan. 24, 1935, in St. Albans, W. Va., Mrs. Roberts moved to Winter Haven from Alexandria, Ind., eight months ago. She was a homemaker. She attended First Church of God in Winter Haven.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband, Jesse Roberts, Winter Haven; son, David L. Roberts, Muncie, Ind.; daughter, Laura Jones, Simpsonville, S.C.; brothers, Eddie Bird, South Charleston, W. Va., Richard Bird, Hixson, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 this evening at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
