HAINES CITY -- Mr. Russel Wandell of Haines City died of pneumonia Wednesday (March 1, 2006) in Haines City. He was 78.
Born in Northumberland County, Pa., on Sept. 13, 1927, he came to Haines City from Shickshinny, Pa., in 2001. He worked for Lawton's Trucking in Pennsylvania, and he owned and operated his own truck for five years. He was a member of First Christian Church in Haines City.
Mr. Wandell is survived by his wife, Ruth Wandell; sons, Roger Wandell, Sweet Valley, Pa.; daughter, Carol Kocher, Levittown, Pa.; brother, Burt Wandell, Bloomsburg, Pa.; sister, Alice Miller, Shickshinny; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church in Haines City.
