| | Robert "Bob" Richard Potter 
DAVENPORT -- Mr. Robert "Bob" Richard Potter of Davenport died of cancer Saturday (June 24, 2006) in Davenport. He was 79.
Born in Vinton, Iowa, on April 28, 1927, he came to Davenport from Minot, N.D., in 1992. He retired from the Army and was a veteran of World War II and the Vietnam War. He also served in the Navy and received numerous medals, including the Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with a Palm. He owned R & R Professional Vinyl Specialists in Minot and worked as a security guard for Deer Creek RV Resort in Davenport for 11 years.
Mr. Potter is survived by 20 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Haines City.
