DUNDEE -- Mr. Julius E. "Red" Johnson of Dundee died of complications from pneumonia Thursday (June 8, 2006) in Columbus, Ind. He was 87.
Born April 30, 1919, in Pitts, Ga., Mr. Johnson moved to Dundee from Georgia in 1949. He served in the Army. He worked as a head mechanic for Dundee Citrus Growers. He was a member of the American Legion post 8, Winter Haven. He attended Dundee Baptist Church.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Johnson. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Brown, Columbus, Ind.; son, Robert Johnson, Haines City; brother, J.M. Johnson, Pitts; sisters, Alice P. Johnson, Pitts, Virginia Hurley, Erin, Tenn., Joyce Davis, Pitts; six grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Services will be
10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. |
