WINTER HAVEN -- Mrs. Lucy Florence Pierce of Winter Haven died of heart and lung failure Wednesday (June 7, 2006) in Winter Haven. She was 88.
Born in Hingham, Mass., on Oct. 7, 1917, she came to Winter Haven from Massachusetts in 1976. She was a homemaker. She was a Methodist.
Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Clayton Pierce Sr. She is survived by her sons, Jerry Pierce, Donald Pierce, Dana Pierce, all of Massachusetts, Curtis Pierce Jr., Haines City, Rodney E. Pierce, Florida; daughters, Jean Moore and Jane Akusis, both of Massachusetts, Sandra Piccuito, Haines City, Debbie Dourriety, South Carolina, Dorothy Stewart, Florida; brother, Charlie Nash, Massachusetts; sisters, Grace Harriden and Ruth Lawson, both of Massachusetts; 36 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City.
