WINTER HAVEN -- Mr. Bruce Allen Betts of Winter Haven died of colon cancer Sunday (June 4, 2006). He was 73.
Born Sept. 9, 1932, in Chicago, Ill., Mr. Betts moved to Winter Haven from Las Vegas, Nev., five years ago. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He owned beauty and barber shops in Illinois and Indiana. He was a Methodist.
Mr. Betts is survived by his wife, Mary Fran Betts; sons, Todd Betts, Crown Point, Ind., Kenneth Greene, Las Vegas; daughter, Wendy Foley, Crown Point, Ind.; sister, Edith Korey, Tuscon, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
