| | Gerald Martin HAINES CITY -- Mr. Gerald Martin of Haines City died of cancer Tuesday (May 30, 2006) in Auburndale. He was 71.
Born in Red Level, Ala., on Feb. 1, 1935, he came to Haines City from there in 1966. He was the owner and operator of Martin Tile in Haines City. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Sharon Mills Martin; son, Ricky Giles, Lake Wales; daughters, Connie Martin, Winter Haven, Kathy Cannon, Lakeland, Terri M. Martin, Winter Haven; brother, James Martin, Haines City; sister, Doris Long, Fort Myers; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 this evening at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
