HAINES CITY -- Mr. Leroy Otte of Haines City died of heart and lung failure Monday (July 24, 2006) in Haines City. He was 83.
Born in Caraway, Ark., on Nov. 18, 1922, he came to Haines City from Arkansas in 1954. He was a retired capping machine operator for Donald Duck Juice in Lake Wales. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Otte is survived by his daughters, Judy Otte Faircloth, Haines City, Patricia Colter, Pickett, Ark.; sons, Larry Joe Otte, Virginia, Gene Otte, Missouri, Larry Lee Otte Sr. and Timothy Otte Sr., both of Haines City; brothers, Cleve Otte, Loughman, Lewin Otte, Interlocken; sisters, Bonitta Depree, Indianapolis, Barbara McCallister, Polk City, Mildred Shriner, Flint, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 1001 Grace Ave., Haines City. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Davenport.
