WINTER HAVEN -- Mr. Peter Robert Chase of Winter Haven died of cancer Friday (July 14, 2006) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was 76.
Born Feb. 4, 1930, in Chicago, Mr. Chase moved to Lakeland in 1990. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked as executive director of the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the American Legion post 8, Winter Haven; Winter Haven Moose Lodge; Republican National Committee; and Alumni Association of the University of Wisconsin. He attended Beymer Memorial United Methodist Church.
Mr. Chase was preceded in death by his first wife, Fannie Lou Chase. He is survived by his wife, Clara Chase, Winter Haven; his sons, David Chase, Chicago, Dr. Jim Chase, Delaware, Ohio; daughters, Donna Chase, Elkhorn, Wis., Kelly Chase Spatz and Victoria Chase, both of Miami Springs; brother, Donald Chase, Ferryville, Wis; 10 grandchildren.
