| | Merritt H. Groth HAINES CITY -- Mr. Merritt H. Groth of Haines City died of a heart attack Tuesday (July 4, 2006) in Davenport. He was 77.
Born in Rochester, N.Y., on July 2, 1929, he came to Haines City from there in 1996. He retired from Eastman Kodak Co. in Rochester after 42 years of service. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Elks Club in Polk County.
Mr. Groth was preceded in death by his wife, Helga W. Groth. He is survived by his son, Michael Groth, Rochester; daughters, Donna Eisermann, Albion, N.Y., Karen Dorothy Russell, Rochester, Lisa DeJohn, Concord, N.C., Marie Groth, Dallas; brother, William Groth, Webster, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at a later date in Rochester.
