HAINES CITY -- Mrs. Dorothy J. McCormick of Haines City died of heart failure Friday (June 30, 2006) at St. Joseph Hospital, Tampa. She was 77.
Born June 21, 1929, in Glens Falls, N.Y., Mrs. McCormick was a winter resident of Haines City for several years before moving there in 1993. She was a nurse. She attended St. Ann Catholic Church, Haines City, where she was a member of the Rosary Society, Sacristant and Lector. She was a member of the RCIA and the Diocease of Orlando Synod and a representative to PEACE. She was formerly a member of the Father DiOrio Healing Ministry in Albany, N.Y.
Mrs. McCormick is survived by her husband, John McCormick; son, John McCormick, Albany, N.Y.; daughters, Linda Turner, Virginia, Karen Glass, Albany, Mary Miller, Georgia, Dorothy Frustraglio, California, Diane Lord, New Hampshire, Kathleen Jones, Preston Hollow, N.Y., Colleen Tersigni, Albany, Deborah Knight, California; sisters, Hazel Monroe, Vermont, Pauline Thomas, New York, Clara Kramn, Colorado; brother, Jack Collis, New York; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Ann Catholic Church, Haines City.
