POLK CITY -- Mr. Robert Carroll of Polk City died Sunday (Jan. 22, 2006) in Polk City. The cause of death is pending autopsy results. He was 53.
Born in Haines City on June 14, 1952, he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was an engineer and senior PCB designer for American Computer Aided Engineering in Orlando. He graduated cum laude from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, and he received his associate of arts from Polk Community College.
Mr. Carroll is survived by his wife, Kathleen Brown Carroll; son, Matthew Carroll, Polk City; daughter, Tiffany Carroll, Polk City; mother, Mary Edwards, Polk City; stepbrother, Ronald Edwards; stepsister, Nona Newbold, Lakeland; sisters, Cynthia Strickland, Haines City, Peggy Boozer, Polk City, Marie Hooks, Fort Meade, Belinda Miller, Winter Haven.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 this evening at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 1001 Grace Ave., Haines City. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Davenport.
