WINTER HAVEN -- Mrs. Leona P. Garcia of Winter Haven died of respiratory failure Saturday (Jan. 21, 2006). She was 83.
Born Nov. 10, 1922, in Winter Haven, Mrs. Garcia moved to Winter Haven from Hendersonville, N.C., in 1975. She was a homemaker. She attended Lake Hamilton Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Woman's Club of Lake Hamilton.
Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her husband, Gavino Garcia. She is survived by her nephews, Jerry Dunbar and Carl Gould, both of Lake Hamilton, Jose Garcia, Bartow; nieces, Jan Astin, Lakeland, Cindy Garcia, Lake Hamilton.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City
