DAVENPORT -- Mr. Robert Lee Collier of Davenport died of heart failure Wednesday (Jan. 18, 2006) in Lakeland. He was 79.
Born in Lansing, Mich., on July 29, 1926, he came to Davenport from Michigan, in 2001. He was an engineer for North American Aviation and A.M. General. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a Christian.
Mr. Collier is survived by his wife, Laurie Lea Collier; son, Terry Lee Collier, Lansing; daughter, Pamela Lea Ayers, Laingsberg, Mich.; brother, Carroll Collier, Mathias, W.Va.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 this evening at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Florida National Cemetery.
