VALDOSTA, Ga. -- Mrs. Marie D. Shaw of Valdosta, Ga., formerly of Polk County, died of natural causes associated with old age Sunday (Jan. 15, 2006) at home. She was 91.
She was born in Hornersville, Mo., on June 22, 1914. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bemiss Road Baptist Church.
Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Spivey Shaw. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Ann Bradley, Valdosta; sons, Gary L. Shaw, Valdosta, and William H. Shaw, Brunswick, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Carson McLane Funeral Home, Valdosta, Ga. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Auburndale City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hopsice of South Georgia.
