| | Emma Olive Marrs POLK CITY -- Mrs. Emma Olive Marrs of Polk City died of heart failure Thursday (Dec. 22, 2005) in Lakeland. She was 91.
Born in Depauw, Ind., on Dec. 8, 1914, she came to Polk City from Michigan, in 1972. She was a drill bit sharpener for Whitman and Barnes. She was Methodist.
Mrs. Marrs was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Marrs. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane Bolton, Polk City; stepdaughter, Mildred Marrs, Texas; stepsons, Chuck Marrs and Ronnie Marrs, both of Michigan; brothers, Bernard Roberts, Indiana, and Clyde Roberts, Michigan; sisters, Gertrude Higdon, Margaret Adams, both of Jeffersonville, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oak Ridge Funeral Home, Winter Haven.
