AUBURNDALE -- Miss Brittany Lynn Hooten, the daughter of Paul Hooten of Winter Haven and Connie Smith of Auburndale, died of injuries sustained in an auto accident Monday (Feb. 20, 2006) in Lakeland. She was 8.
Born in Winter Haven on Feb. 22, 1997, she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a student at Lake Alfred Elementary School. She was a former cheerleader for the Auburndale Comboys Pee Wee Football and she did gymnastics at Woody's Gym in Auburndale. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Winter Haven.
In addition to her parents, Miss Hooten is survived by her brother, Nicholas Hooten, Winter Haven; stepbrother, Hunter Southard, Winter Haven; maternal grandparents, Aaron and Joan Wilkins, Lake Alfred; and paternal grandparents, Tommy and Lenora Hooten, Wauchula.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 W. Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Winter Haven.
