CRYSTAL RIVER -- Mrs. Maudie A. Vann of Crystal River, formerly of Polk County, died of congestive heart failure Sunday (Feb. 19, 2006) in Crystal River. She was 62.
Born in Joiner, Ark., on Nov. 24, 1943, she lived in Polk County for 34 years before moving to Crystal River in 1993. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Haines City.
Mrs. Vann is survived by her husband, Franklin L. Vann; son, Steven M. Vann, Florence, Ariz.; daughters, Linda K. Vann, Crystal River, Sherry Ann Levi, Haines City, Janet M. Owens, Davenport; brothers, Harrison Mofield, Vero Beach, Gordon Mofield, Polk City, David Mofield, College State, Pa.; sisters, Ellie Parish, Peggy McGill, both of Haines City, Sue Sandusky, Russellville, Ala., Rita Walford, Samberg, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 1001 Grace Ave., Haines City. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
