DAVENPORT -- Mrs. Marguerite Louise Williams of Davenport died of complications of diabetes Tuesday (Feb. 7, 2006) at The Crossroads in Davenport. She was 95.
Born in Plant City on May 7, 1910, she came to Davenport later that year. She was city clerk for the city of Davenport for 63 years. She also was a seasonal telegraph operator for the Holly Hill Hotel.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Williams. She is survived by her sons, Bill E. Willams, Haines City, Charles A. Williams, Davenport; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Central Church of Christ in Haines City. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Davenport.
