Jack Brannon


HAINES CITY -- Mr. Jack Brannon of Haines City died of kidney failure Monday (Feb. 6, 2006) in Auburndale. He was 72.

Born in Kingston, Ala., on Dec. 13, 1933, he came to Haines City from there in 1956. He worked in the citrus industry and the construction industry, and he retired from the city of Haines City with more than 20 years as an auto mechanic. He was a member of Lake Pierce Baptist Church.

Mr. Brannon was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Brannon. He is survived by his son, Darrell Brannon, Ocala; daughters, Cynthia Swearengin, Eagle Lake, Jenny Powell, Lake Hamilton; sister, Sara Shelley, Headland, Ala.; seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City.
