HAINES CITY -- Mr. George R. Ruby of Haines City died of cancer Saturday (Feb. 4, 2006) in Davenport. He was 72.
Born Feb. 8, 1933, in Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. Ruby moved to Haines City from Pennsylvania in 1997. He served in the Army. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Miller & Sons in Warminster, Pa. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542.
Mr. Ruby is survived by his son, George Ruby, Haines City; sister, Thelma Schlieder, California.
