WINTER HAVEN -- Mr. John Ernest Harper of Winter Haven died of heart failure Thursday (Feb. 2, 2006). He was 77.
Born Dec. 22, 1928, in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, Mr. Harper moved to Winter Haven from Wisconsin in 1993. He served in the Army and fought in the Korean War. He worked as a salesman for Peace Industries Inc., Fairfield, Ohio. He was a member of the American Legion. He was a Protestant.
Mr. Harper is survived by his wife, Betty Harper, Winter Haven; daughters, Carol Schultz, Chicago, Joanne Harper, Oxford, Ohio, Chastine Best, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; brother, David Harper, Michigan; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City.
